Antonio Nicolucci

Dr. Antonio Nicolucci is Director of Center for Outcomes Research and Clinical Epidemiology (CORESEARCH), Pescara and was previously Coordinator of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Epidemiology of the “Mario Negri Sud Foundation – Pharmacological and Biomedical Research Center”. His areas of expertise include the design and conduct of controlled clinical trials and meta-analyses, the application of epidemiological methodology to health data, the assessment of quality of care and the psychosocial impact of diabetes, chronic diseases and their treatments, the analysis of administrative databases and real world data.

During his career, he has held various roles in the Italian Society of Diabetology (SID) and in the Association of Medical Diabetologists (AMD). Dr. Nicolucci is member of the scientific committee of ISPED-CARD, member of the scientific committee and coordinator of data analysis board of IBDO Foundation and member of the of data analysis board of the Health City Institute, member of the Steering Committee and coordinator of the Data & Register working group of the European Diabetes Forum – Italy.

Dr. Nicolucci is the author of over 400 scientific articles published in indexed journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Lancet, the Lancet Endocrinology and Diabetes, Annals of Internal Medicine, British Medical Journal, Archives of Internal Medicine, Diabetes Care, Diabetologia, European Heart Journal, Journal of American College of Cardiology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Journal of National Cancer Institute.
